The Immersive Storylab forms part of the curriculum for final year Filmmaking and Creative Multimedia students at Manchester School of Art, helping them to be at the cutting edge of developments in immersive media storytelling technology, theory and creativity by enabling them to be involved in real research and impact projects throughout Manchester and beyond.

Running since 2016, student projects in the lab include several VR, AR and interactive media projects that explore the potential future of filmmaking & media arts through development of concepts across documentary, narrative fiction and installation.

The class includes workshops and lectures around the use of immersive and interactive technologies for storytelling.
